Buying Gold Online in Dubai: Live Price per Gram & Buy-Back
Misskim is an online gold and jewellery store run by Misskim Jewels L.L.C in Dubai, selling 18K, 21K, 22K and 24K gold alongside diamonds, accessories, perfume and bags. Every gold piece is weighed and priced from that day's gold rate, so the price you see moves with the market.
The Misskim homepage with today's gold rate per gram for each karat
If you have only ever bought gold at a souk counter, buying online raises fair questions: how is the price worked out, what is the making charge, and can you sell the piece back later? This guide answers them with real figures from the store. For the technology behind the live pricing, see how we built the Misskim website.
Karat: how much of the piece is pure gold
Misskim's karat guide defines karat simply as how much of the piece is pure gold:
| Karat | Gold content | Example in the shop | Rate per gram on 9 Oct 2026 (AED) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 24K | Pure gold | 10 g and 50 g bars | 489.38 |
| 22K | 91.6% | Earrings | 448.61 |
| 21K | 87.5% | Monaco chain, Dubai bangle | 428.21 |
| 18K | 75% | Flower ring, Versace set | 367.03 |
The rates in the table are a snapshot from the day this article was written. They update daily, and today's rate is shown on every page of the store. Higher karats are softer, which is why 24K suits bars, while 18K is used for designs that must hold a stone or a fine link.
How the price of a gold piece is calculated
The store publishes its formula openly:
Price = weight in grams × today's rate for that karat + making charge + value of any stones.
Nothing else is added. This explains something that surprises new buyers: a piece's price can change from one day to the next even though its weight has not, because the gold rate moved.
A real example: the 24K 10 g bar was listed at AED 4,963.75. The gold value alone is 10 × 489.38 = AED 4,893.80. A bar has no stones, so under the formula the remaining AED 69.95 is the making charge. Jewellery takes more work than a bar, so its making charge is usually a bigger share of the price. When you compare shops, compare the gold rate and the making charge separately, not just the total.

What you can buy
The gold collection includes rings, chains, bangles, bracelets, earrings, sets and bars. Examples from the listings:
- 18K flower ring, 2.3 g: AED 904.51
- 21K Monaco chain, 4.15 g: AED 1,878.66
- 21K Dubai bangle, 8.4 g: AED 3,783.01
- 22K earrings, 6.9 g: AED 3,240.23
- 24K bar, 50 g: AED 24,731.30
Each listing shows the weight, the karat, the rate per gram and the total, and weight and karat are printed on every invoice. Some pieces also show a Pay in 4 option through Tabby or Tamara.
Returns and buy-back
This is where buying online can actually be safer than buying on impulse:
- 7-day returns: within seven days of delivery you can return a piece for any reason if it is unworn and undamaged, with invoice, tags and packaging. You get the full invoice value back, including the making charge.
- Buy-back after 7 days: Misskim buys pieces back at any time at the gold rate on the day you return them, based on weight and karat. The making charge is not included in a buy-back.
- Exceptions: items made, resized or engraved to order, earrings and body jewellery (unless faulty), and gold bars and coins are not covered by the 7-day return.
The practical lesson: the making charge is the part of the price you do not get back in a buy-back. If you buy gold mainly as savings, a low making charge matters more than the design.

Add insured delivery, a clear seven-day return window and a buy-back promise at the day's rate, and buying gold online stops feeling like a gamble. The store is also available in Filipino and Arabic, alongside English, and orders can be cancelled free of charge before dispatch with a full refund to the original payment method.
FAQ
Why did the price of a piece change since yesterday?
Because prices are calculated from the daily gold rate. The weight stays the same, but the rate per gram moves.
Can I sell my gold back to Misskim?
Yes. After the 7-day return window, pieces are bought back at that day's gold rate by weight and karat, without the making charge. Bring the piece and its invoice.
Is the karat guaranteed?
Weight and karat are shown on every invoice, and the store states that every piece is 100% authentic.
