More from this project

Misskim (Misskim Jewels L.L.C) sells certified 18K, 21K, 22K and 24K gold, fine jewellery and diamonds, hand-picked in Dubai and shipped to customers in the UAE and the Philippines. The brand runs on one rule: the customer sees the same numbers the shop sees.

The challenge

Gold is priced by the gram and the rate moves every day. A normal e-commerce platform stores a fixed price per product, which means either constant manual updates or prices that are wrong by the afternoon. Misskim also serves two very different audiences — Filipino customers and Arabic-speaking customers in the UAE — and needed one store, one price logic and one invoice for both.

What we built

  • Live gold pricing engine: today's 24K, 22K, 21K and 18K rates per gram shown at the top of every page, and every product priced automatically as weight × rate of the day + making charge — the full calculation visible on the product card.
  • Karat-based catalogue: separate 18K, 21K, 22K and 24K collections, gold bars, fine jewellery and diamonds, plus perfume, fashion and bags.
  • Trust built into the flow: certified karat and weight on every invoice, a published buy-back policy at the market rate of the day, insured and tracked delivery, and a karat-and-weight guide.
  • Payments for both markets: Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay and bank transfer, Pay in 4 instalments shown per product, and GCash and Maya for Philippine customers.
  • Three languages with proper SEO: English, Filipino and Arabic (RTL) with hreflang alternates, canonical URLs and JewelryStore structured data including the trade licence.
  • Custom build: developed from scratch on Laravel rather than a page builder, so pricing, invoicing and multi-entity logic (one entity in the Philippines, two in the UAE) work exactly the way the business operates.

Result

A gold store whose prices are always correct without anyone editing products, and whose transparency — weight, karat, rate and making charge on every piece — is the main selling point.
