Eid Al Etihad 2026: A Website and SEO Checklist for UAE Businesses

Eid Al Etihad 55: 20% off websites and 55% off SEO

On 2 December the UAE celebrates Eid Al Etihad, and in 2026 the country marks 55 years since the union. For businesses the long weekend is more than a celebration: it opens the busiest month of the year, with the winter tourist season, year-end shopping and new budgets for the first quarter. More people search, compare and book online in December than in almost any other month.

This checklist covers what to fix on your website before that traffic arrives. Most of it can be done in two or three weeks.

1. Make the site fast on a phone

Most visitors in the UAE arrive on a mobile phone, often on the move. If a page takes more than three seconds to show something useful, many of them leave before they see your offer.

  • Compress large images and serve them in a modern format such as WebP.
  • Remove plugins, scripts and pop-ups you no longer use.
  • Check every key page on a real phone, not only on a laptop.

2. Give Arabic speakers a real Arabic page

A machine-translated page reads badly and rarely ranks. An Arabic version written for people in the Emirates, with the right direction (right to left), clear prices and local contact details, earns more trust and more clicks.

3. Put your National Day offer on its own page

A banner on the home page disappears from search after the weekend. A dedicated page with the offer, the dates, the terms and a short form can rank for searches such as "National Day offers" and keep collecting requests until the offer ends. Link to it from your home page, your social posts and your WhatsApp status.

4. Update your Google Business Profile

  • Set special opening hours for 1 to 3 December.
  • Publish a post with the offer and a link to the offer page.
  • Answer recent reviews; customers read them before they call.

5. Fix the basics that block search engines

Broken links, pages that redirect in circles, duplicate titles and missing descriptions all cost you positions. A short technical audit finds them quickly, and fixing them is usually the cheapest SEO work you can do.

6. Make it easy to ask for a price

In the Gulf many customers prefer to message before they buy. Every service or product page should have a visible WhatsApp button and a short form, not only a phone number at the bottom.

7. Measure what happens

Make sure Google Analytics and Search Console are connected before the weekend, so you can see which pages bring visitors and requests, and plan January with real numbers.
