Frequently asked questions
Do I need my own AI API key?+
Yes. Zico connects to your own OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini or OpenAI-compatible account, so you choose the model and control the cost. The key is stored on your server and is never sent to the browser.
How does Zico learn my website?+
It indexes the content types you choose (pages, posts, WooCommerce products and custom post types) and re-indexes automatically when you save content. For each question it picks the most relevant passages and answers only from them.
Will it invent prices or services?+
Zico is instructed to answer only from your content and your business instructions. When it does not know, it says so and offers WhatsApp instead of guessing.
Does it work in Arabic?+
Yes. The widget and the admin come in Arabic, English and Russian, the layout switches to right-to-left, and Zico replies in the visitor's language. Arabic answers are written without diacritics.
Can I use one license on several websites?+
One license key activates Pro on 3 websites. Localhost and staging domains do not count, and you can move the key to another site by deactivating it on the old one.
What happens after the first year?+
The license is for life, so Pro keeps working. The first year includes every update and new feature; after that you keep the version you have.
Will it slow down my site or clash with my theme?+
No. The widget is a small deferred script rendered in a Shadow DOM, so theme CSS cannot break it and it does not block page loading.
Is there a free version?+
Yes. The free version works without a license, with limits (20 knowledge items, one AI agent). Pro removes the limits, see the comparison above.
How do I receive the license and the plugin?+
Right after payment: the key and a download link arrive by email and stay in your dashboard under My purchases.
